Therapeutic Riding and Horse Rescue?
Hi I was wondering if anybody had any information on how to start either of these (horse rescue or therapeutic riding) . My friend and I are getting certified for therapeutic riding and I was wondering if anybody could give us some tips. Does anybody think that these programs are good to have... Does anybody know of any grants there are available for these types of organizations?

- I asked a friend who's on the East Coast about your situation because she's actively involved with a therapeutic riding school and this is what she had to say. "actually .. they have poised a bit of a loaded question. If indeed they are going through certification through NARHA to be certified instructor.. then they must know the standards and would know they can get manuals and instructions on starting a center from there. It would be interesting to see what others answer first :) they don't state if they are looking to be for profit or non-profit or what state they are in.. all details that would help to direct them to a center nearby for assistance and laws for establishing a business If you'd like, feel free to let them k now that the national center for information on therapeutic Riding is www.narha.org or North AMerican Riding for the Handicapped Assoc. :)" Best of luck.
- http://www.crystalpeaksyouthranch.org/ I think you can find out a lot through this ranch. They have 2 books out with the stories of how they started, and the horses they've rescued, and kids that the horses rescued.
