Is there really professional horse gamblers?
do they always win money?
Public Comments
- Yes there are professional gamblers at racetracks, but no they don't always win money
- yes and no
- Yes there are. They win about 60% of the time. But for them that is good enough. As long as you make a profit. Always remember, you can't win them all. So decide when to quit.
- yes, and it is my dream job! i just need some one to bank-role my fantasy, any takers?
- yes it's possible but you need nice bank roll to withstand long losing streaks, especially if you are playing bets like the pick six. Some gamblers will bet thousands each week trying to hit the pick six, and may only hit once every couple months.
- I know a guy who does . He only makes about three or four large bets a week on horses who he thinks are very certain to win. His win percentage is at least 75 % and he has very strict betting rules (no exotic bets,no maidens, no bets on horses who's odds are greater than 8-1, no bets on horses who come from far behind in the stretch etc. etc.). He runs his betting like a business. He also has to see the horse the day of the race to make sure the horse is eager to run and is not lethargic or really sweated up.
- Answer to 1st question: Yes Answer to 2nd question: Yes, it is possible to win all the time, professional punters exercise a lot of patience and discipline, plus having a good system helps. I know of a gentleman who generates a sizeble income each year doing this for a living. There are literally over 50 racetracks running each day in North America alone, he places an average of 4 wagers ($100/wager) per day and generates $800 a day.
