What are people with horses feeding in the summer as suplemental feed in the summer?
I live in Texas we have land, I have 2 horses and a mini donkey. They are un trained until later this summer, I am curious of what others may be feeding and how often etc? Looking for ideas thanks

- I know the horse barns here at my college feed Alfalfa hay, a couple flakes per paddock a day, depending on how many animals are in there.
- Well I live on land in FL. and have 1 horse. With my horse being in a pasture she has a round bale of Tifton 44 hay that she eats when ever she wants and 2x a day i feed her horsemens edge pellet feed. But when I was at a barn she got the same feed but she was given hay 3X a day and that was light TNA hay...hope I helped
