what does a seasoned horse mean ?
Trail riding / horses are my passion ! We own a few horses and they all are still { Green } ! This lady I know has horses that are { Trail trained & Seasoned horses } I want a horse thats { SAFE } for me to take out on the trails ! Which horse would you think would be a safer mount ? My 2 yr old filly has { NOT } completed her trail program, but has been exsposed to trails by the previous owner that we purchased her from. She's a professional trainer .

- seasoned means it been prepared with the proper spices.
- It means adding a little salt and maybe some lemon pepper... Just kidding it means "training and experience" I should point out though training and experience does not mean a good choice for an inexperienced rider... any horse can go barn sore....
- A seasoned trail horse in my opinion has alot of trail miles and has been exposed to everything imaginable. I have found that older horses 6 yrs and up would fall into this catergory. I have a six year old that I would not consider seasoned, I have a nine yearold that is very seasoned. It matters how much, how far and how oftened they are ridden.
