what horse breed is most common in therapeutic riding programs?

1. My experience has shown that many types of breeds are used in different areas around the country and world, but many of the programs I have been a part of use Appaloosa and Quarter Horses.
2. I am not sure that there is a specific breed that is favored for therapeutic riding. Granted you would want a mild-tempered, well behaved horse with a excellent demeanor. I believe this has to do more with the training and handling the horse has had than the breed.
