Pictures of my horses. What do you think?
Here is Georgia. She is a 10yr old Arabian/QH, possibly knocked up before I got her. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Georgia/014.jpg Here is Hamilton. 5 yr old Buckskin QH gelding. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Hamilton/015.jpg Here is Tucker. 8 yr old Buckskin QH.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Tucker/020-1.jpg Here is Savannah. She's 6 months old. I got her last month at the sale at St. Onge, South Dakota for $30. Suppose to be a paint. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Savannah/005.jpg And this is Lincoln, my pride and joy. He's the orphan I got for free at the same sale on May 13th, 2007 also at St. Onge, South Dakota. Yes he has a hay belly. He is 5 months old as of 10/06/07. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Lincoln/009.jpg None of these horses are show horses. Just my babies. Constructive critisism is always appreciated =) Best wishes. Dame Spencer...good eye...nope, none are show quality...but they have all been wormed. I do it every 6 weeks. Lincoln has a hay belly. It's from being a orphan. Georgia...I think she's older than 10 but that is what I was told she was...she looks better now than when I got her. Tucker is long in the back isn't he...but he is papered...nothing to brag about though....tis why he is a gelding. Hamilton...he's just one of those guys you ride strictly for pleasure. Oh and I love all of them =) oh yea...lol...I didn't get Georgia breed. Unfortunately...she came to me that way =( I do plan on keeping the baby though. No matter what =) I am giving her alone a mix of senior and mare and foal feed. She's doing really good on it. oh yea...again...Lincoln gets the best of feed. Creep feed has been a problem, he refuses to eat it...and I have tried all the tricks to fooling him into eating it...a losing battle with that. If I put it in with his other feed, he refuses both... Please don't thumb down any asnwers...everyone is only being honest on what they think...Thank you and best wishes to you all. AGAIN...maybe that will catch some of your attention who keep thinking Lincoln is wormy. He doesn't have worms...he's a orphan with a huge hay belly. Please make sure to read...lol. All my horses are wormed regularly. Yes it is fall here, but we have already had lots of frost. Temps in the 20's and 30's at night. No...I don't brush the pretty ponies mane and tail every day...and no...I don't brush them every day. It's almost always windy here and what you do one day, you can't tell the next...they all do get brushed 2 to 4 times a week. I also realize that Georgia isn't the best looking girl out there, but she looks way better than when I got her and the weak back end will never go away, it's really poor confirmation from obviouse poor breeding. Hence, why backyard breeding needs to stop. Just because people put 2 registered horses together doesn't mean there is going to be a beautiful foal. I have compared her with other Arabian/QH's and she is ugly compared to a lot of them...she has a big front end and absolutely no butt to speak of. To me though...she is gorgeous, healthy...tons of personality. And that is all that matters to me. I do think she is older than 10 though...I got a chart off the internet and what I have been able to compare...she's more like 18...but the people my sister got her from say 10... Oh and I should add...i said all my horses are wormed regularly...the excludes Savannah. She won't get wormed until the 14th, next Sunday. Then I will have help catching her for the first time. So no...she hasn't been wormed yet. I live in South Dakota and those pictures were just taken today...they are getting their winter coats already. It's already been in the 20's here....brrrrr.

- They are all beautiful, but I think Georgia is my favorite! You're so lucky to have so many horses!!!!
- they are so cute , i love them
- Thank You for those pics!!! I've only ever had cats or fish as pets, but your horses look wonderful. I'm sure they are now in a great home.
- Beautiful horses! I wish I could have a horse, but where I live there's no space for one. Still fun to look at everyone's horses though. They're just gorgeous.
- Georgia is underweight and needs a mixed feed. Lincoln needs to be wormed and put on a better feed. Savannah may be the best one of the bunch. Yes, it is clear that they are not show horses. They all apear to be typical un-registered grade, with poor confirmation- upright shoulders and long backs. Still, I do understand that there is a love factor at work here. I have had several of the same such types. Do not breed these animals as there is a surplus of them, (which is probably how you got them) and there is not enough nice people like yourself with the money, food and facilities to care for them properly. Happy trails dear~ reply~ I am glad they have such a good and carring owner. (your a sweetheart) I do not own horses any more, but have soo many great memories of those years, and of the horses I've owned, and the friends who shared the adventures.
- All very cute. Nice to see someone else who doesn't show and has horses just because they love them. Good luck with all of your babies, big and small.
- they are so awesome!!!!!! i would love to have that many horses unfortunately i only have 2 thanks for sharing!!!
- I like your gelds. They both look nice. The new filly you just got looks good, also!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
- Tucker is my favorite--he's an "eye catcher" with those black points and chrome to boot. My husband would definitely pick him, too--buckskins are his favorite. I updated my other answer about haltering your new filly, because I just had to comment on the pic when you posted it on the other persons' question regarding auction prices....anyway--she's gorgeous! I think if I had been at that sale, I would have had to bid you up a little bit! : ) I also like the name you chose for her...in fact, all of your horses are well-named, and I'm glad they have a good home with you. Good luck on putting weight on the little guy...he will come around. We had one in a similar situation, and after some vet help (he had an umbilical hernia and a few other fixable problems) and two and a half years of feed poured into him, he is turning into a GREAT little riding horse. He just reached 14 hands, is 3 and a half years old, and is muscled out really nice finally. Here's a pic. He looked a lot like your little Lincoln when we first got him. So keep up the good work, and congrats on having some good horses. This is Milo: http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc25/DaisyKJ/Milo5.jpg http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc25/DaisyKJ/Milo4.jpg

- you have really gorgeous horses. I'm jelious lol. But I love my baby...shes a registered paint mare that I rescued from a slaughter auction. She has improved so much....she has won over $15000 in barrels :).
- Tucker is just beautiful! I have a soft spot for buckskins :) thanks for sharing your great pictures!
- Awwww.... they are quite cute. The babies are adorable little bunnies :) Tucker looks JUST like my horse- Tate. See... http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e393/KShai/Horses/Tate1.jpg I love your buckskins, they are so pretty. I love buckskins :)
- their all cute, but i think lincolns my favourite. you're lucky you can have horses, i cant even have a hamster! LOL
- Lincoln is my favorite, but yu are so lucky to have horses- I dont even have 1.
- OMG U r so lucky! I LOVE buckskins! Judging by the picks I take it it is winter or fall. They are all cute. I would like to see them better groomed though. Like a healthier looking coat and a pulled mane. But there is no point to that b/c they arent show horses. Lincoln looks like he has worms. His tummy is bloated.
- I think Georgia is in rather poor condition, and she has a weak rump. Lincoln is very cute, as is Hamilton, Savannah and Tucker. Nice horses.
- they are all beautiful tho i think Georgia is mt fave. But they are all just gorgeous!
- Very pretty
- I LOVE HAMILTON!!!!!! He is gorgeous and usually i am into paints but he is gorgeous. All your horses are beautiful!!!!!!!
- they look like great horses to have. you are very lucky i wish i had horses that beautiful.
- I'm just defending you on Lincoln's pot belly. I have had to raise 3 orphan foals at once one year and for some reason they all had the pot bellys too. I believe you worm them :)
- i luv the horses they are so cute you are so lucky to have them i LOVE horses but we dont live on a farm
- Be proud of your horses. They don't have to be show quality to be good loyal animals. We have two paint horses. They are show horses but they are our babies. Meja is a 5 yr old Sorrell and Dixie is a 1 yr old black and white. Just love em and they will love you back.
- tucker is GORGEOUS!
- Yeah, here in Alaska we are getting 20's & 30's also. Time to bring the guys in for the winter.... Georgia: I like her color & she looks like she has a nice head. Hamilton: He's nice. I like Buckskins Tucker: We have a "Tucker" also. Again, I like his color & the white socks are Great!! Savannah: I like the color. Babies are hard to pick apart.....They're BABIES!!!! Lincoln: Would you mind a suggestion? Since the little guy is an orphan you may want to try a product call START TO FINISH www.stfproducts.com It is a lifespan nutritional product that is milk based & gives the horses 100% of the minimum daily requirement of vitamins & minerals. You can feed it to foals starting at 7 days of age. We feed it to our horses & the youngest is 4 yrs. It is the ONLY suppliment we feed. For your little trooper, I would give the MARE REPLACER PELLETS a try. Show quality isn't everything. I once had a bay quarter horse gelding with the biggest ugliest head ever, but that horse was amazing. We were at a rodeo once & the rodeo queen needed a horse & we loaned her "NEAL" for the Grand Entry. She LOVED him..It was like he knew what he was doing was important. He arched his neck, tucked his chin, pricked his ears & pranced like a $50,000.00 race horse. Later on in the rodeo, they used him as a pick up horse during the bareback riding. Nothing rattled him & all you had to do was point him in a direction & he would NOT hesitate to do what ever..... Papers & breeding don't mean squat!!!! Horses can't read & they are NOT impressed with what papers say anyway. Ask one. HA HA HA!!! I think your horses are Lucky to have you.
