What kind of careers are there based on you having an extensive knowledge of equine behaviour?
Say if you were a horse behaviourist, what kind of jobs could you get around that idea? Like general trainer, equine rehabilitation, equine-assisted therapy etc. Any ideas/experiences?

- Being a horse trainer is a good idea. Another business that I used to be in was testing and selecting horses for other people for a consulting fee. You can also be an exercise rider for race horses or a groom for race or show horses. Another possibility is to be a stable manager for a large horse ranch. I have seen these jobs advertised in horse magazines. Often they include a place to live. Another thing you might want to do is find a college that has a veterinary assistant program for large animals. Any time you have a piece of paper, you will have a job. You will also make more money. Unfortunately some jobs in horse related professions don't pay well.
- Like Miss Behavior said, Training horses is a good job to take but there is a job out there asa Behaviorist. These people have owners call and consult them when their horse is acting up for some odd reason or just won't lead, etc... There is a video on YouTube of one working on a horse's leading problem. I personally think his bethod is a little harsh but there are many people whom have their own methods. Here is the Video and I hope you find a well suiting job for yourself. ^_^ http://youtube.com/watch?v=o3Jhguiyz78
- I have had horses since i was 8. and i do ranching and therapy and I really like them/ and i am only 16.
- the horse world seems to be divided into those who do..and those who think they can do! unless you go to work for someone in the horse industry who is already established, where the competition is hot you would be better to go to college and get a degree in some horse related discipline however good you are people want that little bit of paper that assures them that you really know your stuff many of the best experts around have no formal training what so ever just 40-50 years of expierence!
