Does anyone have any pictures of their horses? Well, now that I've discovered an old link to an image of my horse, I feel like seeing other people's horses! XD Does anyone have any pictures they'd like to share? The good, the bad, the ugly, they're all welcome! =D
Pictures of your horses for art project? Send me your favorite picture of your horse. I'm doing an art project and I'm doing a painting of different horses. My horse is in the middle and other horses will be surrounding him... They can be doing anything standing, jumping, anything.
How much should I charge to take pictures of someone and there 2 horses? I don't consider myself a "professional" photographer..simply because I haven't been to school and I've never really taken photos for anyone. Although my pics do have a professional look to them. I have no idea how to charge for doing it. She wants a min. of 20 pics taken. I will have to drive almost an hr to get to her house to do it. Any help?
Why is there so much nudey pictures with horses on the internet? I have to do a report for my class about how to get started with a hobby. For the cover page I was going to have a girl riding a horse where they jump things and I typed in yahoo picture surch to look for girl riding horse and some of the grossest pictures with nekkid girls came up. On any search I could think of some kind of nekkid girl or guy came up. Why is that?
Does anyone know/have any good wild horse pictures? I am looking for a wild horse picture (i.e mustangs, quarter horses, etc.) It's for a picture I am making for a website. I want one that is full-body preferably and looks decent. (Not blurry!) If you know of one or have one could you please post it? Websites with pics help too! Thanks a lot!
On Howrse, How on earth do people have these really cool looking pictures of there horse?? I am only a Riding Level 2 and I figured everyone gets the same plain looking horse picture to represent their horse only different thing you get it the coat color..... Well I was mistaken....! What do you do to make your horse look all cool like I have seen everywhere. I thought all you could do was change the coat color when you buy the Golden apple, and I knew that they can become a pegasus with Medusa's Blood but I didn't know you could change the position of your horse and everything... How do you do that!?
Senior pictures with horses..any ideas? I'm hoping to get some of my senior pics done outside this summer, then some outdoors in the fall, then studio shots. I can only afford it because the guy is my dad's old friend from high school :].....I'm hoping to have some with my horses, but haven't been able to be on either of them since April because of a spinal injury, and don't know when I'll be able to ride again. My one that I feel I might be able to lay on bareback is sort of crazy, as is my 3 year old gelding, so first of all how can I get her to let me sit bareback on her (once I can ride again)? And any good scenery or posing ideas? Really anything would be great...links to pictures are appreciated! Thanks! **And my doctors have said I can probably start riding again this fall, once I have some nerves cauterized and start therapy to strengthen my neck! So it is doable....as long as the horses don't freak out! They love pictures, so they should be okay. yes, i love bareback pics! She's 10, but we concentrate on contesting and reining with her, so she's not quite calm enough. She just gets really excited when I sit on her bareback. That always makes me sad, because before my old Arab mare died we would gallop around bareback, jumping and running barrels. I guess I'll try some more groundwork for now, and wait it out. Thanks! Oh....and she spooks like the sky is falling when she goes near my wooden mounting block! =] I've tried sacking her out, but I think that block is her mortal enemy =]

Taking Pictures of Horses? I am going to a horse show tomorrow with my Sony A300 and two lenses: a 18-70mm [which I probably won't use much] and a 75-300mm. I have a 60 inch tripod which I plan on using. This is my first time with a serious camera trying to take pictures. It will be outdoors. Any tips on shutter speed/anything else I should know? =) I'm concerned about missing shots with using the tripod or getting blurred shots from trying to move it and follow the action. I really don't want to use flash, but if it would make a big difference, I will. I just need lots of tips.
Pictures of your horses? I am getting a horse soon and when I get a good pic I will post it! so please pix of your horses!
Pictures of my horses. What do you think? Here is Georgia. She is a 10yr old Arabian/QH, possibly knocked up before I got her. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Georgia/014.jpg Here is Hamilton. 5 yr old Buckskin QH gelding. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Hamilton/015.jpg Here is Tucker. 8 yr old Buckskin QH.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Tucker/020-1.jpg Here is Savannah. She's 6 months old. I got her last month at the sale at St. Onge, South Dakota for $30. Suppose to be a paint. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Savannah/005.jpg And this is Lincoln, my pride and joy. He's the orphan I got for free at the same sale on May 13th, 2007 also at St. Onge, South Dakota. Yes he has a hay belly. He is 5 months old as of 10/06/07. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v295/Chewy0013/Lincoln/009.jpg None of these horses are show horses. Just my babies. Constructive critisism is always appreciated =) Best wishes. Dame Spencer...good eye...nope, none are show quality...but they have all been wormed. I do it every 6 weeks. Lincoln has a hay belly. It's from being a orphan. Georgia...I think she's older than 10 but that is what I was told she was...she looks better now than when I got her. Tucker is long in the back isn't he...but he is papered...nothing to brag about though....tis why he is a gelding. Hamilton...he's just one of those guys you ride strictly for pleasure. Oh and I love all of them =) oh yea...lol...I didn't get Georgia breed. Unfortunately...she came to me that way =( I do plan on keeping the baby though. No matter what =) I am giving her alone a mix of senior and mare and foal feed. She's doing really good on it. oh yea...again...Lincoln gets the best of feed. Creep feed has been a problem, he refuses to eat it...and I have tried all the tricks to fooling him into eating it...a losing battle with that. If I put it in with his other feed, he refuses both... Please don't thumb down any asnwers...everyone is only being honest on what they think...Thank you and best wishes to you all. AGAIN...maybe that will catch some of your attention who keep thinking Lincoln is wormy. He doesn't have worms...he's a orphan with a huge hay belly. Please make sure to read...lol. All my horses are wormed regularly. Yes it is fall here, but we have already had lots of frost. Temps in the 20's and 30's at night. No...I don't brush the pretty ponies mane and tail every day...and no...I don't brush them every day. It's almost always windy here and what you do one day, you can't tell the next...they all do get brushed 2 to 4 times a week. I also realize that Georgia isn't the best looking girl out there, but she looks way better than when I got her and the weak back end will never go away, it's really poor confirmation from obviouse poor breeding. Hence, why backyard breeding needs to stop. Just because people put 2 registered horses together doesn't mean there is going to be a beautiful foal. I have compared her with other Arabian/QH's and she is ugly compared to a lot of them...she has a big front end and absolutely no butt to speak of. To me though...she is gorgeous, healthy...tons of personality. And that is all that matters to me. I do think she is older than 10 though...I got a chart off the internet and what I have been able to compare...she's more like 18...but the people my sister got her from say 10... Oh and I should add...i said all my horses are wormed regularly...the excludes Savannah. She won't get wormed until the 14th, next Sunday. Then I will have help catching her for the first time. So no...she hasn't been wormed yet. I live in South Dakota and those pictures were just taken today...they are getting their winter coats already. It's already been in the 20's here....brrrrr.

Any tips on how to draw horses from a picture? I already know practice makes perfect, and I'm working hard at that right now. I have this big book of photographs of horses right now, and I draw from that. I'm okay at drawing realistic horses but I want to get better. Any rubbing or different mediums of supplies would really be helpful. (Right now I only use a number 2 pencil and colored pencils.)
